Papercraft Star Challenge 76

Oh my goodness I can't believe Christmas is almost upon us!!!  Where has the time gone?  This week over at the Papercraft Star our challenge is to create a gift card holder or a tag.  Easy right?  For my projects I chose to create some gift card holders.  I purchased Sizzix XL die called scoreboard business card holder last year and I have used this die SO many times.  I used some "Little Sizzles" double sided mat board that is perfectly cut to match up with this die to cut out my little gift card holder.  I then covered it in patterned papers from Echo Park.  For my embellishments I used a Martha Stewart Doily, seam binding from Paper Loves Glue, and of course this darling image from our sponsor The House Across the Bay called Christmas Squares 055.  The poinsettia was made from various floral punches and leaves punches.  These little holders are so cute!

For this little gift card holder I used patterned papers from Echo Park and a digital image from the same Christmas Squares 055:  however I adhered it to a facet from Tim Holtz.  There was a great tutorial on the Tim Holtz blog on how to use adhere images to these facets and back them with foil.  In his tutorial he uses Santa images as embellishments to one of his tags from this years Twelve Days of Tags.  The House Across the Bay has so many lovely images that would work so well with this technique!

I hope you can find some time to play along with this weeks challenge for your chance to win some great images from our sponsor The House Across The Bay.  Just link up your project by Monday 6:00 a.m for your chance to win.  Wishing you a very happy holiday season.
