Spring Challenge

Welcome to another challenge over at the Papercraft Star!  This week our theme is "spring".  Spring is probably my favorite time of the year.  I even try to garden during this time of year:  however I soon get some mystery rash and never last too long at it.  For my project this week I made a Spring Mini!  Using papers from Graphic 45 called "Once Upon a Springtime", along with several images from our sponsor The House Across the Bay.  For the cover I fussy cut the fairy in the corner along with some of the floral accents.  I did notice that Peter Rabbit was missing from the Graphic 45 papers, and was able to add him by fussy cutting Peter from The House Across the Bay's Peter Rabbit Tags 219.  The flowers are from Prima.  I had the "SPRING" title for a while now and think it is from Making Memories.

The charms were made by adhering more of THATB images from Peter Rabbit Domino sheet 220 to some fragment charms from Tim Holtz.

For these pages I used Shabby Dots ATC 182 images from THATB as my photo mats embellished by seam binding, flowers and a butterfly stick pin.  On the opposite side I created a pocket by cutting along some of the flowers printed on my patterned paper and sewed along the edge.  The Peter Rabbit tags were added to the pocket for journaling spots.

On the next set of pages I used more of the Shabby Dot ATC 182 images for a pocket embellished with  a Wilton doily and some Prima flowers.  On the opposite page I cut a frame from a Cricut cartridge called Sophisticated from some chip board and adhered one of the Peter Rabbit domino images.

The tags tucked behind the frame come out and the Peter Rabbit image can be removed to have a photo slip into the frame.  This has to be my favorite page!

The last set of pages feature more of the Shabby Dots ATC images.  I create a pocket in which more of the Peter Rabbit tags can be tucked into.  On the opposite page an accordion fold mat unfolds to place even more photos or journaling.

When it is flipped the other way you can see more mats from the Shabby Dot squares from THATB, embellished with a fairy cut from Graphic 45 papers.

This was one fun project to create and I'm so looking forward to taking pictures to fill this mini up!  I look forward to seeing what creations you come up with.  Be sure to check out the beautiful creations from the rest of our design team!  Just link up you projects by Monday 6:00 am EST for your chance to win some images from our sponsor!  Remember if your in need of some inspiration to get you started our photo is always there to use if you choose.

Hope you are all enjoying your week and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
